As with most preventative
programs, it is never too late to start. Please contact us with any
questions or concerns
about your pet's vaccinations so we can help
you keep your pet healthy for years to come.
Adult Pets
Continuing
the recommended vaccination program for your pet's entire life is
the only way to ensure their immunity from these deadly diseases
they can be exposed to anywhere. We recommend annual comprehensive
physical exams for both dogs and cats, with a biannual check up for
dogs. And with each of these visits, your doctor can determine which
vaccinations your pet will require and when. Many vaccinations for
dogs are now only needed every 3 years, though Arkansas State law
still requires an annual rabies vaccination for both dogs and cats.
Your doctor will take into account your pet's age, lifestyle, and
previous vaccination history in determining which vaccinations are
needed. This allows our doctors to give you peace of mind that your
pet is healthy and protected. These regular checkups allow your
doctor to treat small ailments as they appear and catch other life
threatening illnesses while they are easier to treat. We just want
the best for you and your pet so the relationship you share is long
and enjoyable for the both of you.
Ferrets
In a class all their own,
ferrets can be very energetic, friendly, and loving companions.
While their preventative schedule may differ from the other animals,
their care is no less important. Ferrets should be vaccinated
against Ferret Distemper and Rabies annually. Their visits also
include a comprehensive physical exam and deworming.
